Community Prayer October 4, 2026
LORD Jesus, we certainly live in interesting and challenging times, full of all sorts of opportunities and ways to keep ourselves occupied.
The Apostle Paul acknowledged that he was frustrated when he did things he did not want to do, and did not do the things he did want to do, and it is the same for us. Our lives are full of important and not so important activities and it is up to us to make choices of all kinds on a daily basis. Many times things that are not so important overtake our use of time, and crowd out the most important things needing our attention if we let them.
LORD, help us to keep our ears, hearts and minds so tuned toward You, that what You would have us to do is what we do our best to accomplish on a priority basis. LORD, we want to be like You! AMEN

Our Ministries & Support
Father, thank You that we are able to return to our regular activities with the addition of using the new Zoom technology to extend our ministry. We pray to be able to overcome any technical challenges to having services both in the sanctuary and via Zoom. We give You thanks and praise for all the ways we are able to show Your grace to our community.

- Pray for God’s provision for all those who are suffering because of the war in the middle east and the lack of oil for their normal purposes while the Strait of Hormuz situation is being rectified
- As the season of wildfires, and drought and intense heat progresses, we pray for God’s grace to cover all those whose lives and homes and communities are threatened
- It’s snowing in the west! As the bad weather approaches, keep those in difficult situations in your prayers for God’s protection and provision
- We pray for healing for Pastor Lydia Rodriguez who being treated for an immune disorder which is requiring her to receive dialysis 3 times a week.
- Pray for Joy’s daughter-in-law Heather’s Aunt Kathleen, who recently had surgery for lung cancer and is now struggling with heart disease as the cancer is receding
- Joy consulting a lung specialist tomorrow about breathing problems, needing God’s wisdom and healing
- We pray for God’s peace to overcome as there are attacks on Iran and a number of other Middle East Countries, and also in Ecuador and Cuba; pray for God’s provision and protection for all the people involved
- Father God, we pray for Your blessings and grace to cover the people of Venezuela and Ukraine, and other countries also where living conditions are so difficult and dangerous
- Father God, bless and keep Larry with Your peace and healing
- Pray healing for our friend Shirley in Ottawa who is coping with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and we hold her husband Stewart and their children in our prayers as they do all that they can to provide assistance and support
- We pray for God’s provision for all the situations throughout the world where there are natural disasters
- We pray for Your comfort and peace in all the recent shooting death situations across the country
- Pray for God’s provision and wisdom and healing for all those harmed by strong storms bringing loss of life and much damage to homes and people
- Pray for God’s peace and provision as the war between Hamas terrorists and Israel continues, leading to great suffering and lack of all the basic provisions needed, especially in the health care settings, and food, water, and shelter areas
- We pray for Marcel's family members and others in Ukraine and Russia in dangerous situations during the war
- Father, we bring You all those suffering painful conditions of any kind, including Teresa, Lillian, John, and Joy
