The Kairos prison ministry team which serves Sussex I State Prison will conduct a four-day mission in May of 2026. Owing to a lengthy "lock-down" it is the first four-day mission of its kind in almost two years. During the mission, the Kairos team will go door-to-door and distribute one dozen home-baked Chocolate Chip cookies to every resident of the prison. This will require around 2,500 dozen home baked cookies.
Pastor Nelson is looking for volunteers who are willing to bake cookies, you will find the guidelines and recipe suggestions below. You can also bake from pre-mixed cookie dough (Nestle or Pillsbury) available at either Bj's or Costco. The important thing is that they be home-baked.
