Community Prayer December 7, 2025
Together we pray . . .
Lord Jesus, we would like to be as faithful and trusting as Your mother Mary. She was able to put aside all of her fears and concerns about what might have happened to her when she was called to such a glorious but anxiety-producing task as giving birth to You. It took a lot of strength for such a young person to take this on, even though it was also a great honor.
When we are given opportunities to serve You, we are not always able to respond as quickly and fully as the teenager Mary did. Service to God is both an honor and a privilege, and we want to have those chances! We need Your help to do what we are called to do. AMEN
· our friend Shirley in Ottawa who is coping with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and we hold her husband Stewart and their children in our prayers as they do all that they can to provide assistance and support
· Pray for God’s grace to cover Angela Vallis who is recovering from carpal tunnel surgery, for her complete healing and restoration
· Pray for healing for Joy and her doctor as they begin treatment for her spine that is mishappen and also problems with her knees
· We pray for God’s comfort for all those mourning the loss of Danny Appel, so faithful in his service to Culmore
· Father, watch over all those affected by the wildfires in Canada and California, and also those affected by the smoke moving into other areas, that those who are fighting these f will have the wisdom and grace to respond to the problems and protect themselves and others who are affected and that there will be no loss of life or homes
· we hold Nelson’s dear friend Mike (in Montreal) in our prayers as he bravely continues with his course of Chemotherapy
· we pray for God’s provision for all the situations throughout the world where there are natural disasters
· pray for God’s justice and mercy to prevail as detention centers are being planned throughout the US to keep people being deported to other countries
· pray for God’s wisdom and understanding for all of the lawmakers involved in making the decisions relating to continuing to fund the federal government for the good of the country

Father, thank You that we are able to return to our regular activities with the addition of using the new Zoom technology to extend our ministry. We pray to be able to overcome any technical challenges to having services both in the sanctuary and via Zoom. We give You thanks and praise for all the ways we are able to show Your grace to our community

- We pray for Your comfort and peace in all the recent shooting death situations across the country
- Pray for God’s provision and wisdom and healing for all those harmed by strong storms bringing loss of life and much damage to homes and people
- Father God, bless the cease-fire process to allow humanitarian aid and the exchange of hostages and prisoners in the Gaza/Israel conflict
- Father, wars and conflicts are breaking out all over the Middle East, including Israel, Gaza, Iran, Syria and other countries, and we pray for Your peace to be brought into each situation
- pray for God's healing tor Nelson’s friend David with medical problems relating to his heart
- pray for God’s peace and provision as the war between Hamas terrorists and Israel continues, leading to great suffering and lack of all the basic provisions needed, especially in the health care settings, and food, water, and shelter areas
- give our government representatives God’s wisdom and grace to learn how to work together to deal with the longer-term issue of appropriating money for the government in responsible ways
- Father, we bring You all those suffering painful conditions of any kind, including Teresa, Lillian, John, and Joy
