COMMUNITY PRAYER September 15, 2024
Together we pray . . .
Father God, how grateful we are for Your Holy Word, how it takes us from mountaintop experiences to the depths of despair in valleys that may seem endless. Those Psalmists certainly covered the gamut of human emotions and experiences as they taught us how to come back to trusting in You and Your goodness. Moses gives us another example of someone pushed to the wall in dealing with difficult situations and people, something with which we are all familiar. He encountered frustration, perhaps anxiety over how he was going to do the job You called him to do. And maybe even anger at the ungratefulness of Your people after all the extraordinary ways You had blessed them—how soon they forgot the parting of the Red Sea! There is much we can learn from all of the examples before us. We just need to take the time to step back and consider who You are, and remember all we have learned about how You want us to respond in difficult times. As well as giving up our inclination to panic when things are really tough! You are always with us! Help us to listen intently as You speak to us, and then proceed with the loving care You have showered us with! Amen.
· We pray for Marcel's family members and others in Ukraine and Russia in dangerous situations during the war
families:
Father, thank You that we are able to return to our regular activities with the addition of using the new Zoom technology to extend our ministry. We pray to be able to overcome any technical challenges to having services both in the sanctuary and via Zoom.
